Dobie 'n' Me in Hoot Owl Holler is a collection of short stories written by Doris Bliss about her experiences as a child growing up in Valle Crucis, North Carolina in the 30's and 40's. Hoot Owl Hollar is a small deep hollar located on Tom Shook Road just off 194 in Valle Crucis.
